SJ Lee wins Sony World Photography Award

Seung Jong Lee ('20) was announced as this year's winner of the Korea National Award by Sony World Photography Awards. Congrats, SJ!

According to its press release, the Sony World Photography Awards is the largest photography competition in the world. The National Awards is a global program open to all photographers and abilities. It aims to find the best single photograph taken by a local photographer in 66 countries. SJ Lee took first place for his photograph above.

SJ is currently a second-term student originally from Seoul. In his interview with Sony, he said:

The city is always bustling and filled with countless lights and colors. But behind the richness, there is so much loneliness, which is derived from the relationships. Sometimes the relationship itself makes us lonely.
