The goal of an Orientation Leader is to provide new students with tools and resources necessary to succeed, so that they can become more familiar with our academic obligations, find the inspiration to achieve their fullest potential, get excited about beginning this new experience, and make connections with peers. Fall Orientation will be held virtually, and will include a mixture of self-directed “calls to action”, guided videos and tutorials, live remote meetings and workshops, and curated bundles of resource information. It is important to note that some of these admits will be working from their home states (domestic) and countries (international), just like you!

This is a paid position at $14.25 an hour with a flexible schedule. Confirmed hires will receive employment paperwork: WK8 via email. Meeting and trainings will take place as scheduled on Zoom throughout July and August. Orientation will take place during Break Week 3, Tuesday 9/8/20-Friday 9/11/20, with varied live sessions as scheduled.

Paid Photo Internship at Giant Artists

The purpose of the internship role is to gain knowledge of the operations of a photography agency which include artist management and marketing strategies. You will contribute to the Giant Artists team by managing daily tasks which include general office administration, data management, image collection, and portfolio management. Commitment to successfully completing your internship with Giant Artists enhances your ability to secure a meaningful role in the commercial arts industry. The internship will begin first week of March.

GOALS

  1. The intern will create a career blueprint at the beginning of the internship program to further define their goals and career aspirations.

  2. Gain a deeper understanding of the business of a photography agency and how to market photographers

  3. Learn the sales and estimating process from the Sr. Reps.

  4. Create internship presentation by the end of the 3-month program of what they learned and share their final career blueprint with the Giant team.

Giant Artists is a women-owned production and management company based in Los Angeles and New York. They represent a mix of emerging and established photographers and directors, including Art Streiber, Micaiah Carter, Jessica Antola, Emily Shura, among others.

ArtCenter Student Leadership Education & Development GRANT

Current ArtCenter students can apply for $ to participate in off-campus experiences such as educational conferences, workshops, or classes that demonstrate the potential for learning leadership skills and pursue growth in their field of interest not currently offered at ArtCenter.

The Application Deadline is Monday, February 24th before 9:00 am

Funds may not be used retroactively, meaning that all proposals must begin after Wednesday, February 26. We recommend that applicants search out opportunities that are scheduled March – October 2020

The LA photo department manages episodic coverage, publicity photo shoots, as well as billboard campaigns. Our interns contribute to our team by dissecting scripts and one-lines for episodic, behind-the-scenes, and social media purposes. Interns help with billboard and publicity campaigns by conceptualizing and on site production assistants.

Milk Studios offers a a great opportunity for a student to experience the photography and film industry, develop relationships with photographers and producers, while building a strong work ethic. This internship is unpaid, although a stipend is offered for food and gas per shift.

MILK STUDIOS INTERNSHIP

A fast-paced photography studio in Los Angeles seeking energetic, enthusiastic, and self-motivated interns to assist our Front of House/Hospitality team. Our daily objective is to facilitate the creative needs of our clientele and strive to provide the best customer service in the industry.

Must be available 2 days a week for both a morning (7:00 AM - 2:00 PM) and night (4:00 PM - 11:00 PM) shifts.

Responsibilities

  • Maintaining aesthetic of the studio

  • Working closely with clientele on a daily basis

  • Answering phones

Life & Thyme is seeking a creative self-starter hungry to learn the fast-paced media landscape by being immersed in everything we do at Life & Thyme. This position will run from July 2019 to September 2019, during which time interns will have the opportunity to learn about producing high quality food journalism, editorial design, film production, photography and more.
