WIRED Is Hiring a Photography Fellow

WIRED offers one six-month-long photography fellowship, located at our editorial headquarters in San Francisco’s South of Market neighborhood. The photography fellowship focuses on all aspects of the photo department including both web and print.

We are now accepting applications for the term running from July to December 2016. Applications are due Wednesday, June 29, 2016. We do not offer summer internships, and since our fellowships are full-time they are not appropriate for matriculated students.

Applicants should be passionate about photography, highly organized, and have the ability to prioritize, multitask, and meet deadlines.

The ideal candidate has some level of photographic education, excellent Photoshop skills, knowledge of WordPress, photo researching skills, a strong aesthetic sensibility, and experience working on-set and in a studio environment.

The photo fellow works closely with our photo team, assisting with photo research, placing art for online posts, and helping in the WIRED photo studio. Administrative duties include mailing the issue out to our contributors, managing our magazine archive, creating PDFs of layouts, and assisting with award entries.
